Alex Plante

Alex Plante is a digital painter and illustrator from all over Manitoba. Her versatility is a blessing and a curse, because it's pretty hard to describe her "style", and her Instagram feed looks like it has been struck by a cool hurricane.

In June of 2018, Alex left her full-time job to become a professional artist. Since then, she has built a flourishing career on her love of the silly, the absurd, the ethereal and unsettling, but most of all, her growing love of all things Manitoba. She has achieved much in a few short months, including recognition from The Simpsons, Mayor Brian Bowman and the City of Winnipeg, and was included on Ace Burpee’s 2018 list of “100 Most Fascinating Manitobans”. It was a pretty rad year.

Alex currently sells prints of her work online and in 4 shops in the city. She is always looking to expand into new stores, styles, and art forms.
